It is an imaging technology that provides the surgeon with real time multi-planar images during spine surgery. The O-arm has a unique navigational component, like a ‘GPS’, that can track the position of all implants in relation to the nerve and spinal cord. This technology is usually deployed in complex case, which demands pinpoint accuracy for screw insertion and optimum implant placement.
